First snowfall in Yosemite in November. Shot looking at the North Rim of Yosemite Valley looking up the Merced in this frosty meadow. I had risen early enough to be completely alone in this normally very busy place. There are few experiences less thrilling to be in the crisp mountain air in such transcendent beauty alone.
I shot a series of images, with numb fingers, using both digital and 35mm film cameras; Nikkormat w. 50mm and 200mm lenses, Pentax spotmatic w. 50mm. This series contains single frames, panoramas, and stitched multiple images.
I add reference material to my book section from time to time. I've got a variety of interesting reads on photography, the Sierras, California and Yosemite in particular which you may find interesting. Click this link to see more.
