$5500 w.case

Lists for $6700 w case - Made in 2006

This is a beautiful used Kenny Hill Brazilian Torres 650mm, parlor size, #2532 - designed for the player desiring a smaller body size.

I sold this guitar to the original owner who has now returned it, unable to play it any longer. The guitar was returned in LIKE NEW condition. I can not tell if it was ever played, although the original owner says it has been lightly. The guitar has gone through a technical evaluation at the HILL GUITAR shop.

Originally this guitar was one of several guitars built for a Japanese customer. Often the Hill shop will build more than one custom instrument for an order as insurance. The signed Kenneth Hill Luthier label indicates Kenny built this guitar for the Japanese customer, as the label normally appears only in Signature models.

Brazilian rosewood is getting harder and harder to acquire with associated prices increasing accordingly. 2009 Brazilian Torres 1856 models cost $6500 without a case, if you can find one.

Price includes a new custom single arched hardshell case.

This model was originally based on the FE12 (1854) design found in the Romanillos book, the progenitor of modern classical guitar. Kenny Hill had the good fortune to have a Torres guitar come into the shop for repair, also dated 1854. With this guitar available for direct measurement and notation of its decoration; purflings and rosette, the Hill Torres model was retooled to be a replica of this unique guitar. The sound of the Hill Torres model is strikingly similar to the original Torres guitars, so you will have a new guitar with a lengthy history!

This guitar sounds incredible. It has plenty of projection (volume) and the quality of its sound is sweet and rich. I happen to really like these guitars. Without a lot of verbiage that's hard to translate into musical sound qualities, let me say, this guitar is one of the few that speaks immediately to me as something special.

These guitars may be small in size, but are as loud as any full-sized instrument, and once it's broken in - it will compete with the best of them...I guarantee this.

There's a very even balanced tone and very pronounced bass, which will provide hours of pleasure and entertainment. This is a very fine instrument offering a lifetime of enjoyment for a serious player, professional, student or enthusiast seeking a unique guitar. If I get my act together, I'll post a sound file of me beating on it, so you can get a sense of it.

It's size is unusual and very appealing. While it's appropriate for smaller players, it's also very popular with guys who might otherwise not play a 'little guitar.'
